Kimbrough Products 48 Pitch slipper spur gears are engineered specifically for Team Associated B4, T4, B5, T5, B44, SC5, and SC10 platforms. Each Kimbrough spur gear is molded from black 4/6 nylon, selected for its superior ability to release heat into the surrounding air. Managing heat is critical for thermo-setting plastics, and black nylon outperforms other colors in this area. This material is nearly three times stronger than conventional plastics and is capable of handling operating temperatures 75° to 125° higher than those used by many competing R/C gear manufacturers.

Unlike narrow or profiled plastic gears that can flex, weaken, and create drivetrain drag under load, Kimbrough spur gears feature a full-width design for maximum strength and efficiency. A wider gear spreads the load more evenly, allowing it to handle higher power without wasting horsepower. Gears are only narrowed when space limitations demand it—and with Kimbrough, that compromise isn’t necessary. Proper tooth geometry and full-width construction also contribute to smooth, quiet operation. A wide range of tooth count options is available, giving you precise control over torque and top-end speed.
