Kimbrough Products 64 Pitch spur gears are manufactured in the USA using black 4/6 nylon plastic, a material chosen specifically for its superior heat dissipation. Black nylon releases heat more efficiently than other colors, which helps protect thermo-setting plastics from damage caused by excessive temperatures. This advanced plastic compound is nearly three times stronger than typical materials and can tolerate operating temperatures 75° to 125° higher than those used by many other R/C gear manufacturers.

These spur gears are designed at full width for maximum strength and efficiency. Narrow or profiled plastic gears are more prone to flexing under load, reducing durability and efficiency while creating drag in the drivetrain and wasting valuable horsepower. A wider gear spreads the load more effectively, allowing it to handle higher stress. Gears are only narrowed when space constraints require it—and with Kimbrough Racing Products, that compromise isn’t necessary. Their gears run smoothly and quietly thanks to proper tooth geometry and full-width construction. Multiple tooth count options are available, making it easy to dial in the perfect balance of torque and top-end speed for your setup.
